Install the extension
Install Legendary Messenger CRM from the file we send you, sign in, and check it is running.
We are in the Chrome Web Store review queue. Until that is approved you install from a file, which takes about a minute longer and is the same software.
Install it
- Download the zip from the link on your welcome page or in your receipt email. Save it somewhere you will find it again.
- Unzip it. You get a folder called
Legendary-Messenger-CRM. - Put the folder somewhere permanent — Documents, or a folder of your own. Not your desktop, and not your Downloads folder if you clear that out.
- Open Chrome and go to
chrome://extensions. Type it into the address bar. - Turn on Developer mode, top right.
- Click Load unpacked, top left, and select the
Legendary-Messenger-CRMfolder itself. Do not open it and pick a file inside.
Chrome runs an unpacked extension from where the folder sits. Move it, rename it or delete it and the extension stops working — and the pipeline stored against it goes with it.
Chrome shows this banner each time it starts, and marks the extension as unpacked. That is normal for anything installed this way and it goes away once we are in the store. Dismiss the banner. Do not click the button that removes the extension.
On Windows, right-click the downloaded zip and choose Extract All before anything else. Windows lets you browse inside a zip without unzipping it, and Chrome cannot load from there.
- Click the extension icon in your Chrome toolbar. You may need to click the puzzle-piece icon and pin it first.
- Sign in with the email address you bought with.
Your password comes from the welcome email, titled "Your Legendary Messenger CRM account — set your password". If it has not arrived after a few minutes, check spam, or use Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen to send a fresh link to the same address.
This account is separate from your Legendary Leads platform login, even if you used the same email address. Setting a password on one does not set it on the other.
Write a script or two
The library starts nearly empty on purpose — one folder called Intro with one script in it. Open Scripts and put your own opener in. It is what the / picker reaches for, and what the split test measures.
Check it is working
Open Messenger and open any conversation. You should see:
- A bar across the top of the conversation with a stage on it.
- An LL button in the row of icons beside the message box, next to the emoji picker.
If neither appears, reload the Messenger tab. If it still does not, check the extension is switched on at chrome://extensions.
