Preview before you send
Every run starts as a preview with the names in front of you. Nothing goes out until you arm it, and arming takes two presses.
Connector never sends without you arming it, and arming is two presses with the names in front of you. That is the shape of every run, and it is not a setting you can turn off.
Preview first
Run the pass with your segment applied and look at what comes back. You get the people who matched, and a count of how many were considered.
This is where you find out your keyword was too broad, or that the group is not what you thought. It costs nothing — a preview sends no requests.
Then arm it
When the list looks right, arm the run. Requests begin at the pace the governor sets — not immediately, and not all at once.
Stop whenever you like
A run can be stopped at any point. It also stops itself on any of the hard stops: a checkpoint, a captcha, being signed out, a temporary-block notice, the Add friend control not responding, or more than one Add friend control on the page.
That last one is worth understanding. Two Add friend controls means the page is not what it should be — and not understanding the page is a stop, not a guess.
